Our kapa haka experiences are lively, practical and focused on staff team-building. A typical session includes a short performance followed by hands-on stations where staff try poi, tī rākau, mau rākau (safely), carving tasters and Māori arts. We mix learning with active play, reflection and short debriefs so the learning sticks.

• Staff wellbeing & resilience: physical movement, storytelling and shared kawa help staff recharge.

• Cultural confidence: practical tikanga, waiata and te reo that staff can use in their work.

• Practical skills: staff leave able to lead a waiata, run a simple poi session or facilitate a small haka moment.

• Shared takeaways: recordings, lyric sheets and short teaching notes make it easy to keep the learning alive.

• Leadership & communication: activities that reveal strengths, encourage leadership and practise clear communication in a safe, fun way.

• Group & space: 10–60 people. Please provide at least 3 separate activity areas (hall, marae space or lawn).

• We supply: poi, tī rākau, practice mau rākau and carving tools on request.

• You supply: paper/sketchbooks and general art supplies for Māori art.

• Tech: We supply a simple PA + 2 mics for 30+ people groups.

• Safety & tikanga: fully supervised, safety-first and tikanga-led.
